Small World Pruning LLC offers quality pruning on a wide variety of ornamental trees, fruit trees,  shrubs, and vines.


Proper pruning can improve not only the look of your plants, but also the health of your plants.  Clearing out the interior of small trees and shrubs helps create better air circulation and light exposure, which in turn can reduce the chance of diseases like Powdery Mildew.


Pruning can also help the structure of a tree by removing branches with tight "crotches".  V shaped crotches leave very little room for a tree to girth out. Branches with V crotches are much more likely to split due to wind or weight.  Wide, U shaped crotches give a tree room to grow. 

Small World Pruning LLC also works on root flares.  The root flare is where the stem system of a tree meets the root system.  This area should flare outward (in varying degrees according to species).  However, improper planting, mulching, and grading can create enough pressure to restrict a tree's vascular system.  When this occurs girdling roots, or roots that wrap around the tree, invariably develop.  Removing girdling roots and excess soil or mulch can help keep a tree happy and healthy.
